Who should get involved?
- We would like to hear from the diverse voices in the VCD community: current and prospective students, alumni and lecturers.
What formats of work can I send in?
- The VCD blog welcomes any format of media, including audio, visual (picture and video) and written.
- In terms of content, we will post pieces that relate to themes surrounding violence, conflict and development. These may include highly marked assessments, opinion pieces and career experience posts.
How does my work get posted?
- Here's how to find out how to contact us. You must send your work to vcdblog@soas.ac.uk, where a team of editors will read/watch the piece before confirming if it will be posted or not. The team may make suggestions that the authors will be encouraged to fix before sending it back for posting.
- The document should be submitted in MS word format, with the following information included in a cover page
- Title
- Your name
- Short bio (1 - 3 sentences)
- A link to your Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn account (optional)
- A caption for your image
- The source of your image and copyright information.
- Submissions should reflect SOAS's academic standards including plagiarism and accuracy.
- The editorial team is not responsible for the opinions in the work that is shared, nor is the development school at SOAS.
